Laura, a photographer and nature enthusiast, shared a chilling experience from a recent trip that left her questioning what she thought she knew about the world.

While staying at a remote bed and breakfast in North Wales, Laura couldn’t shake an uneasy feeling about the place. The house was old and full of character, but something about it didn’t feel quite right. She dismissed it as tiredness and carried on with her evening.

That night, as she was brushing her hair in front of the large antique mirror in her room, she thought she saw something move behind her. Turning quickly, she found the room empty. Laughing it off, she convinced herself it was just her imagination playing tricks on her.

But the strange events continued. Around 2 a.m, Laura was startled awake by several slow, deliberate knocks. At first, she thought it was someone at her door, but she soon realised the sound was coming from the direction of the mirror.

The following night brought something even more unsettling. Lying in bed, Laura glanced at the mirror and froze. In the reflection, she saw a faint, shadowy figure standing behind her. It wasn’t her reflection, this figure was taller, blurry, and completely still. When she turned to look behind her, the room was empty.

Too unnerved to stay another night, Laura left the bed and breakfast early the next morning. Since then, she’s avoided staying in old properties. She’s not sure what she saw that night, but one thing is certain: it wasn’t just her imagination.
